What is an accute injury?
An accute injury is one that you can trace to a specific incident, that is short in duration and usually comes from a trauma or illness. A car accident that produces whiplash symptoms in the neck is an accute injury. Accute injuries are often sudden with swelling and sharp pain, though you do not have to have all or any of these symptoms. An accute illness is similar in that you may aquire a bacterial infection, treat it with anti-biotics and it is gone. The scar from surgury is an accute injury as well.
